This female timber wolf is at the Lakota Wolf Preserve in Columbia, New Jersey. The preserve is dedicated to giving wolves raised in captivity a place to live in a natural habitat. Its daily programs educate the public about these magnificent creatures that have disappeared from their natural habitats in the Eastern US, leaving a hole in the ecological system. |
